Another dress for the lovely Wendy ❤

Wendy had a lovely green satin ballgown that she wasn’t using but loved the fabric. So we recreated it!

The skirt originally touched the ground so I lifted it up, adding a few pleats. I cut the bodice & sleeves from the upper part of the skirt, original bodice & luckily it had wide folded waist ties.

I also managed to line the bodice & skirt with the original lining.  Zip hidden under the left arm.

Satin is not my favourite fabric to work with but I was pleased with how this dress turned out. Wendy looked gorgeous at her son’s masters graduation.

I do enjoy rescuing fabric from existing clothing. The challenge of fitting everything in & the knowledge that the garment is saved from landfill or a dark wardrobe & given a new life. Creating pieces to be loved ❤
