A Garment A Week – Week 39 – 30/09/16

My post is late again sorry 🙁
Busy school holidays week, entrenched in costuming!
The minion head is done but he needs overalls, Tinkerbell has her dress but no wings yet and today I made some Griffyndor wizard robes.

These are the pants for Jonny’s assassin costume. I really didn’t save time this week to make something other than costume stuff. Comfy pants with an elastic waist band, patterned from some sport pants. I had cut the pockets in with the curve when I had the thought of making them zipped so you don’t have to worry about things falling out whilst you’re in character. They’ll be hidden once the other layers are on.
Putting the zips in on the curve wasn’t too bad and gives the pants a different look.
Faux fly outline stitched on the front.
The hems are just overlocked/serged and turned up and stitched.
Theres not much else to say about these pants lol, nice and easy to pattern and quick to sew up. They’ll work perfectly with the final costume.

I have another busy week coming this week, I will try get in a garment or you may just end up with another costume piece! I’ll post up pics of the finished costumes after the party on the 29th 🙂
