Another top for winter!
I have been participating in Me Made May on Instagram and Pinterest – it’s a pledge to wear something you’ve made yourself everyday during May. I’m managing to find something to wear most days but most of my made things are for summer!
This is also me playing with drafting a raglan sleeve pattern. I think I got it pretty close, maybe lower the sleeve joint angle a little on the front?  And the back joins didn’t quite match up properly, maybe because of the stretch? The back was a little longer than the sleeve and I definitely checked they matched on the pattern.
The front panel is a printed chiffon fabric for colour with a layer of the cream knit fabric underneath.
The neckband is a strip of the knit fabric – I should really invest in knit ribbing fabric in every colour!
And perhaps next time I’ll put a band of fabric around the hem instead of rounding the hems, it looks ok but if I’m walking or putting my hands in my pockets the fabric rolls up and you can see the lining and stitching.  As you can see in the first pic below.
The sleeve hems are overlocked (serged) and double stitched. The hem just overlocked and just turned up a tiny bit, to make it easier to keep the rounded shapes.

If you get the chance to look up Me Made May or ‪#‎mmmay16‬ – definitely do! There’s some very cool outfits and very talented seamstresses out there.
