A Garment A Week – Week 41 – 15/10/16

Sorry for being late posting again 
Super busy with kids, work, costumes and migraines.
Last week’s garment was a quick pair of shorts for Lily, who whinged that she didn’t have enough shorts as the weather got warmer.
This is an upcycled singlet top in a stretchy knit fabric.
The pattern taken from a pair of existing shorts (good to keep on file). The waistband was sewn into a round and the elastic then I folded the band over the elastic and stitched it through the centre. Then the whole band attached to the shorts. The hem is just rolled over and stitched.
Was a cold rainy day when I took the photo lol she wasn’t too happy about having her photo taken.
